I'm Eric Sandstrom, I live in Berkeley County, West Virginia. I've given myself the challenge of shooting a portrait every day for the next year. Each portrait must be shot on that day, and each one must be of a different person. They can be shot in the studio or out in the world. Hopefully, each will be interesting in its own way and say something special about its subject. I hope you enjoy following this project, and I welcome your comments.

Normally, I shoot with a Nikon D-80. On occasion, I will bring out my favorite film cameras: Leica, Hasselblad, and Mamiya. For me, a new camera, or a new technique, or even the latest digital imaging program will all play second fiddle to the imagination. If all you had was a busted up K-1000 and two rolls of Clark film, the potential for a masterpiece is still there. We as artists would do well to remember that when the latest B&H catalog comes in. E :)
